‘Tammy’ is Touching, Funny Tribute to Women [Movie Review]

Filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, Tammy is a fun and funny coming of age road trip movie that should put the hilarious Melissa McCarthy and her director/co-writer husband Ben Falcone on the A List for comedic talent in Hollywood.

Susan Sarandon and Melissa McCarthy hit the road in ‘Tammy’, filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

McCarthy is not as foulmouthed as she was in her breakthrough role in Bridesmaids, but she’s still just as lovably blunt in her admittedly often dimwitted role as the title character.

‘Conjuring’ A New Horror Classic [Movie Review]

Filmed in New Hanover and Pender Counties, North Carolina, The Conjuring is easily the scariest movie of the year, hitting all the right notes in an atmospheric tribute to the 1970s golden age of horror.

‘Safe Haven’ Ignites Familiar Romantic Sparks [Movie Review]

Safe Haven may be the perfect summation of all the Nicholas Sparks novels that have previously been adapted to film, with many of the now familiar elements present (including a North Carolina setting, canoe date, makeout session in the rain), but with a welcome dose of suspense and a dash of danger thrown into the romantic mix for a fun, twisty ride.
