‘Homeland’, Julianne Moore Lead 70th Golden Globe Nominations

The Hollywood Foreign Press announced the nominees for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards this morning, including Showtime’s hit drama Homeland, filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Fayetteville, NC native Julianne Moore.

Homeland received four of the top nominations, including Best Drama Television Series, Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama Television Series for Claire Danes, Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama Television Series for Damian Lewis, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series for Mandy Patinkin.

Julianne Moore was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of former Vice Presidential candidate in the HBO original film Game Change, which was also nominated for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

The 70th Golden Globes Awards will be broadcast live on NBC on January 13, 2013.

The second season finale of Homeland premieres on Showtime this Sunday, Dec. 16.
