Indie ‘A Short History of Decay’ to Film in Wrightsville Beach
A new independent movie is set to start filming in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina next week, starring Wilmington, NC resident Linda Lavin.
WECT reports that A Short History of Decay will begin filming in Wrightsville Beach starting on October 4, according to film permits filed with the town.
Described as a comedy about a man who takes on the role of caregiver for his parents, A Short History of Decay stars Tony nominee Linda Lavin (Wanderlust, Alice), who lives in Wilmington, NC, as a woman experiencing the early onset of Alzheimer’s.
Written and directed by newcomer Michael Maren, the film also stars Emmanuelle Chriqui (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Wrong Turn, Entourage), Bryan Greenberg (Friends with Benefits, Bride Wars), and Kathleen Rose Perkins (The Island).
Greenberg previously worked in North Carolina as a regular on the CW television series One Tree Hill.
A Short History of Decay is scheduled for release on October 1, 2013.
